![]() ![]() I think it needs to be put a bit further away. The device was only about 6′ from us at any given time, give or take. That helped but we could still get a whiff of the scent from time to time. We hung it in the corner on the side of the balcony where we don’t sit (due to the satellite dish being in the way). We don’t have that option with our condo. This would be fine if we had a backyard we could hang this away from where we sit or do outdoor activities. The only problem I had with it was the smell. Lure Refill Model: 1B10 (1pk), 1B11 (3pk)Īs far as being effective the Stinger No Touch Fly Trap does do a good job attracting the flies. Lure/attractant comprised of food-grade, natural ingredients Here is a little more information about the Stinger No Touch Fly Trap.ĭecorative, plastic vessel disguises contents from open view ![]() There is nothing more you need to do except replace the plastic bag inside with a refill bag (available for purchase). ![]() ![]() The attractant will attract the flies and other pesky insects inside where they will get trapped inside. Simply activate the powder “attractant” with water to activate it and then set the trap a good distance away. The trap creates a 20 foot bug-free radius. The Stinger No Touch Fly Trap is mess free and much nicer to look at then other fly/insect traps. I wouldn’t want to try and peel that off one of my cats. They might see it as a toy and jump at it. I would never use them in my home, especially with cats. They were made out of an awful sticky tape that got on everything – even my hair! Not only that they are disgusting to look at. The product is called Stinger No Touch Fly Trap.īack in they day when I was young they had fly traps that hung from the ceiling. Instead it attracts the flies to the trap and it captures them. I as sent a nifty little contraption to help keep the flies from coming inside my home looking for their next meal. They are looking for the dumpster – not my living room. Of course it’s not – they are just a bit off on their destination. I can only assume they are searching for the rotting scent and figure it’s coming from our place. For some reason they make their way to our condo unit. Sometimes people toss out stuff in the dumpster that smells horrible. Thankfully I was able to shoo him outside. My cats went crazy chasing it around our home. The only problem is that bugs can get inside. They enjoy siting out on our balcony and taking in the fresh air and sunshine. We keep our balcony door open during the day so that our pets can move freely in and out. While I do enjoy the convenience of the dumpster being close by (other residents have to lug their garbage long distances to get to the dumpster), I don’t like that the dumpster is below our balcony – not directly but close enough that flies sometimes make their way into our home. One thing I don’t like is the placement of our dumpster. We have a condo board and they decide what goes on around the complex. The walls are so thin.Īnother thing I don’t like is that we have no say in certain matters. I can literally hear my next door neighbor open and close his hallway closet every time he does it. Although I do like my neighbors I just don’t like having people living under me, across from me, diagonal fro me and next to me. I grew up in a house and dream of the day we can move from here and have a house again. I have mentioned many times on my blog that we live on a condo (aka – shoe box). ![]()
